Welcome back to NHS CBD! In this article, we answer a popular question we are often asked, “How is CBD made?”. If you enjoyed this post then why not check out the wide range of CBD products that we have available in the online shop.
The CBD Making Process
Artisan CBD products start life in the rich soil of Europe, where Hemp plants grow gently to maturity without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilizers. All our hemp is sustainably grown and harvested in line with organic farming guidelines
When harvested the whole plant is used in the extraction process to produce a full spectrum concentrate. This process is carried out using the Super Critical Low Temperature co2 extraction method to preserve the natural goodness in the Hemp, it is then put through the Winterizing process to further purify and remove unwanted waxes and fats.
This extract is then analysed by an independent laboratory to ensure it contains the correct amount of Cannabinoids, Terpenes, and Flavonoids. If the batch passes scrutiny it is blended with MCT oil (which is naturally high in Omega oils) to produce the desired CBD strength.
